Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — For the first time, officials at the Humane Society of Somerset County say they are currently not taking in any more animals.
This is due to what they call “an alarming rise in animals coming through the door.”
They say the issue is made worse by low staffing which makes it difficult to care for the animals.
You can help by of course adopting a pet, we're told the application process is easy.
We asked about some other ways people can help out.
Officials say the maximum number of dogs they can house is 32.
