2 more arrests announced in shooting that killed a Philadelphia police officer and wounded a second
PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Two additional suspects have been arrested in connection with an airport parking garage shooting that killed a Philadelphia police officer and wounded another, authorities announced Wednesday.
Alexander Batista-Polanco, 21, of Scranton, Pennsylvania, and Hendrick Peña-Fernandez, 21, of Pennsauken, New Jersey, were arrested on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively, First Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore said at a news conference.
Police on Monday had said at least two other suspects were being sought as they announced the arrest of Yobranny Martinez Fernandez, 18, in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
ALTOONA - Firefighters responded to a fire at an Altoona bar and nightclub around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday. They said one person was inside and neighbors helped get the person out. Officials said that person was taken to the hospital.
The roof collapsed shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday night. More than 100 firefighters were on the scene working in rotations to battle the heavy smoke and flames. Two firefighters had to be taken the the hospital for heat-related injuries.
Lightning strike causes power outage at Walmart in Richland Township
RICHLAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WJAC) – A lightning strike caused the Walmart in Richland Township to close Saturday night.
A spokesperson says a transformer in the back of the store was struck by lightning, causing the store to lose power.
They are working to repair the damage.
The store has refrigerated trucks on site to keep all the refrigerated items fresh.
There were no injuries, but the store will remain closed until repairs can be made.
CLEARFIELD CO, Pa (WJAC) — The search for a missing Clearfield man, who was last seen nearly a month ago, continues, state police announced in a press conference Monday.
Troopers say the disappearance of 48-year-old Gerard (Gerry) Joseph Flango Jr. has now been deemed suspicous.
Flango was last seen at a Family Dollar Store in Clearfield on May 18th, around 7:15 p.m., and is a resident of Boggs Township.
Investigators add that Flango has had NO cell phone activity since May 19th.

Giuliani served with indictment in Arizona fake electors case after 80th birthday party
SCOTT SONNER Associated Press — Arizona's attorney general says former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani has been served an indictment in the state's fake elector case alongside 17 other defendants for his role in an attempt to overturn former President Donald Trump's loss to Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

Johnstown native performs original song at Stage AE
CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WJAC) — Imagine writing a song in your bedroom at 19 years old -- and four years later -- performing it live in front of hundreds of people.
That's exactly what happened to Johnstown native Bryana Appley.

From running a gym for 12 years, to helping clients like the Johnstown Tomahawks reach peak performance, Kelly Morgan knows fitness.
But at 52, Morgan took on a challenge she thought she never would before, bodybuilding.
"Never, ever, ever did I think like this is something that I would ever even consider doing, between the level of discipline and lack of drinking and all of the above, I thought like, ‘there's just no way, there's no way ever.
Preliminary hearing waived for man accused of killing 1 at Cambria City bar
Cambria County, PA — Police say Dirk Jones faces first-degree murder, and other charges, for killing 21-year-old Caleb Beppler and wounding another man outside of the now former Liquid Currency bar in Cambria City.
“We’re still working on piecing all the whole specific timeline together," says Cambria County District Attorney Greg Neugebauer.
Investigators are working to determine exactly what led to shots being fired by Jones, on that June 10th morning.
