Johnstown advances to semi-final bracket of Pony League World Series

Washington County, PA (WJAC) — Moving on! Johnstown has advanced to the semi-final portion of the Pony League World Series bracket after defeating Chinese Taipei by a score of 4-2 Monday evening. Johnstown scored all four of its runs in the first four innings of the game to hand Chinese Taipei its first tournament loss since 2014. Johnstown now awaits the winner of Chinese Taipei and Bay County, Michigan. The winner of that game would have to defeat Johnstown twice to advance to the tournament championship, with the first of those two games scheduled for Tuesday at 5:30 p.

Somerset Co. community fights to keep Family Dollar from closing

Sliders Curling, America’s first competitive, bar-style ice curling ice rink, according to their website, will be opening on Nov. 25. The rink is located nearLumberjAxes in Millvale. Staff says that COVID-19 precautions are in place and the business plans to remain open all winter.

C3 Sports Complex planning to host basketball tournament next weekend

CENTRE CO, Pa (WJAC) — They came under fire for hosting more than a thousand athletes and many more family members and spectators a few months ago. Now a Centre County sporting facility that said they would suspend hosting tournaments, is preparing to host one next weekend. A few months ago, the C3 Sports Complex hosted a wrestling tournament which brought in more than 1,000 wrestlers and lots of spectators and resulted in several COVID-19 related citations for the property owners.

St. Mary's church statue vandalized in Blair County

Church officials in Blair County say they were left shocked and confused ahead of Easter weekend. Bellefonte man accused of exposing himself inside Nittany Mall
