One person was killed in Saturday night's fire in Gulich Township, according to the family of the victim.

State police are still investigating the fire and have not released further details.

Crews from four different counties were dispatched to the garage fire along Simpson Street around 7:15 p.m. Saturday.

The identity of the victim has not yet been released.

The family also confirmed to 6 News that a dog was killed in the fire as well.

Crews from Clearfield, Blair, Centre and Cambria counties were dispatched to a fire in southeastern Clearfield County Saturday night.

The first calls came in about a garage fire around 7:15 p.m. Saturday on Simpson Street in Gulich Township, according to Clearfield County 911.

Crews arriving first on the scene were advised of a possible entrapment and called out for additional services, officials said.

Nearby residents were evacuated and nearby roads were closed as the fire continued to grow. The fire was put out by 9:00 p.m.

Crews on the scene Saturday night would not discuss any possible deaths or injuries.

A state police fire marshal is investigating the fire.
