The newly built Silver Lining Drive-In, located in Bedford County, has announced its 2021 movie schedule, according to a release from the Bedford County Chamber of Commerce.

Movies will be presented on Saturdays between Memorial Day and Labor Day, including additional dates in April and around Halloween.

Last summer, 60 area businesses came together to build the new drive-in theater and now it can be put to use.

Officials say the movies that were selected were based on a social media poll and availability of film titles with the licensing companies.

“We tried to select something for everyone to enjoy this summer,” said Kellie Goodman Shaffer, Chamber President-CEO. “We anticipate some fun evenings that lend themselves to great themes like Superheroes, Renaissance Fair, Ocean, Jingle Bells, Halloween, Harry Potter, Star Wars and more. We can’t wait to see what our business community and sponsors come up with to make each night special and memorable.”

The release adds that all screenings will abide by state and CDC guidelines, including mask-wearing when visiting concessions and restrooms, and social distancing among guests.

Tickets for each showing will be $5 for anyone 10 years of age and older, children 9 and under are free.

Tickets will be available online and at the door.
