With the motto of helping the community go from "striving to thriving," House to Home in DuBois sells furniture at affordable prices.

House to Home operates under the non profit organization SqaureOne Community.

"Anyone can shop here but then the money that is collected goes back into the community. It provides jobs, we have other programs like Lifelines which is going to be starting in May and it's a life coaching program," said Angel Smith, Director of House to Home.

Angel Smith said they're a 100% donation ran organization partnering with TriCounty Church.

"We really just work on donations, the furniture is all donated so whatever needs that we have are very, very small," she said.

After opening this week, the community is already feeling an impact.

"It has a big impact, I'm very blessed to be able to go somewhere and find something that you can afford especially if you're on a limited income which I am," said Brenda Tracy, a customer at House to Home.

From striving to thriving, Brenda Tracy is thankful for House to Home.

"I'm trying to get an apartment and I have nothing but I can come in here and have something and it be mine. That's a blessing to someone it really is, I feel like crying, it is it's wonderful," she said.

"Everyone comes from different walks of life," said Ashley Hoover, an employee at House to Home. "To see them trying over to do the best that they can is something that you'll never get over. Everyday I walk through that door and it warms my heart to know that we're helping people everyday," she said.

House to Home is opening another location in Altoona which is expected to open in May.
