Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis met with striking workers from Middletown, Pa.'s Mack Truck plant Wednesday in support of the ongoing United Auto Workers (UAW) strike.

Davis joined members of UAW Local 677 at Angie's Diner and then drove to the picket line this afternoon in a show of solidarity.

CBS 21 spoke with Lt. Governor Davis who said:

Everyday, [when we] go to work in Harrisburg, we're putting working class families first. I want them to know that while they're out here fighting for their wages, and their benefits, and their rights, we're fighting for them in Harrisburg.

The United Auto Workers is currently on strike against General Motors, Ford and Stellantis.

The strike now enters its 34th day, with auto suppliers bearing the brunt of the effects caused by the labor disruption
