According to Somerset County dispatch, the Windber Church of the Nazarene caught fire early Sunday morning.
The church, located at the corner of Graham Ave. and 9th St., lost a portion of its roof in the fire.
Dispatch reported that one person had been taken to the hospital and the Fire Marshall had been contacted to investigate.
Church Board Member Carol Hoover said the Fire Marshall told them that a lightning strike had started the fire and it is unclear whether the building is a total loss.
