According to a grand jury report, the leader of an area drug organization has been indicted for distributing heroin and cocaine throughout Blair and Cambria counties from March 2017 to July 2020.

Authorities say 40-year-old Jonathan Delacruz, as well as two female associates, face charges of operating a corrupt organization, violating the controlled substance/drug act, criminal conspiracy and criminal use of a communication device.

Investigators say Delacruz made more than $1 million distributing the drugs in and around Blair and Cambria counties.

Police say he and his associates would make frequent trips to New York to purchase the drugs.

On July 7, 2020, authorities searched Delacruz's Altoona home, as well as his "stash house," and seized drugs and packaging materials, as well as financial records.

Delacruz is currently being housed at the Blair County Prison, according to court documents.
