For Jennifer Jackson, owner of Brady Street Florist in DuBois, the coronavirus pandemic hit her business hard.

She expected a big break during the spring but all of her wedding and prom engagements were cancelled.

Since transitioning into the yellow phase today, Jackson said business is looking up with Mother's Day right around the corner.

Since people aren't visiting their parents during the pandemic, she's been sending out a lot flower deliveries.

She said she'll have a record Mother's Day this year even while her storefront will remain closed for at least another week.

Though surviving through this pandemic has been hard, Jackson said the community was here to help.

"It was a shock the first few days, it can really throw you into a depression. I had started a Pay it Forward campaign on Facebook and that took off. We just finished our last one today and that really helped me and helped my business tremendously,” said Jackson.

Clearfield County is one of 24 counties to transition into the yellow phase today. While other counties wait to be added to that list, officials urge you to wear a mask and stay safe during this Mother’s Day holiday.
