UNDATED (WRKC) - Burger King will reportedly launch its own $5 meal deal after rivals McDonald's and Wendy's confirmed their own value deals.

According to Business Insider, Burger King will introduce a $5 meal deal to its restaurants just over a week after McDonald's confirmed a similar deal. Per the outlet, citing a report from Bloomberg, Burger King's set will include the following menu items:

  • A sandwich
  • Chicken nuggets
  • Fries
  • A drink

Per the outlet, Burger King aims to launch its meal deal before McDonald's, adding that its promotion would also run longer than one month, unlike McDonald's. It remains unclear exactly when Burger King will launch its promotion, however.

"Regardless of their plans, we are moving full speed ahead with our own plans to launch our own $5 value meal before they do — and run it for several months," Burger King US and Canada president Tom Curtis wrote, per Bloomberg.

CBS News reported that McDonald's will launch its value deal on June 25. Here's what's included.

"We know how much it means to our customers when McDonald's offers meaningful value and communicates it through national advertising. That's been true since our very beginning and never more important than it is today," told the network.

The Bloomberg report comes just days after Wendy's launched its $3 breakfast menu, which is available now. Here's what's included.
